1. Who processes the data

The operator of the Geo Car com car rental service at geo-car.com. Full legal details are stated in the rental contract and provided on request. Send questions about your data through the contacts in the site header and footer; please give your name, phone number or booking number.

2. What data we receive

From your request: the car, pickup and return places and times, your name and phone number and, if you choose, your email, a comment and a flight number. At handover we check a passport or ID card, the driving licence and the details of a second driver; a contract and an inspection report are drawn up.

The server receives technical data for security and diagnostics: IP address, time of the request, page address, browser type and error details.

3. Why, and on what legal basis

To answer your request, check availability, calculate the price, arrange and support the booking and the contract, organise handover and return, help after an incident, prevent abuse and comply with the law.

Legal bases: your request before a contract, performance of the contract, legal obligations, the legitimate interests of Geo Car com and third parties and, where the law requires it, consent. Data is not used for a new purpose without a separate legal basis.

4. Browser storage and analytics

Search settings are kept in localStorage; unfinished contact details, the flight number and the booking receipt are kept in sessionStorage so they are not lost between pages. You can delete them in your browser settings.

Public pages use Yandex Metrica: visit statistics, the path to a booking, Webvisor session replay and a click map. It uses cookies and technical identifiers, including ClientID. Your name, phone number, email, comment and flight number are not sent to analytics. You can restrict cookies in your browser.

5. Who receives the data

Geo Car com staff and contractors — only to the extent needed for hosting, support, communication, analytics, insurance, roadside assistance, accounting and legal services. State bodies and the insurer — where there is a legal basis. WhatsApp and Telegram apply their own rules. Geo Car com does not sell its customer base or pass it on for anyone else's advertising.

6. Transfers outside Georgia

Messengers, analytics and technical providers may process data outside Georgia — only on a legal basis and with appropriate safeguards, or with written consent where it is required.

7. Retention and security

A form draft stays in your browser until the session is closed. Request and contract data are kept for the duration of the booking, the rental, settlements, possible claims and mandatory record-keeping. Technical logs are kept for as long as security and diagnostics require. After that the data is deleted, anonymised or blocked, unless the law requires it to be kept longer.

Access to data is restricted, the connection is encrypted, administrators' actions are logged and backups are made. In the event of an incident, Geo Car com resolves it and gives notice where the law requires.

8. Your rights

You can, free of charge, obtain information about the processing and a copy of your data, ask for it to be corrected, deleted or blocked, receive it in a portable form, withdraw consent and object to the processing.

We reply within the period set by Georgian law: up to 10 working days, with a justified extension of no more than 10 further working days. An identity check may be required. You have the right to apply to the competent state authority of Georgia or to a court.

9. Automated processing

The site automatically calculates the price and checks the form fields and the car's availability. This is not credit scoring or advertising profiling; in a disputed case the decision is made by a member of staff.

10. Marketing messages

The phone number and email from your request are not used for marketing messages without separate consent, which you can withdraw free of charge. Messages about a specific booking are not advertising.

11. Changes to this policy

The policy is updated when the service, the providers or the law change. The date of the current version is shown at the top of the page; changes apply from the moment of publication.
